At this year’s Foreign Trade Day on 28 October 2025, organised by the Federal Ministry for Economic and Climate Action and Germany Trade & Invest, the key message was clear: Germany and Europe must regain their competitiveness. Minister Katherina Reiche emphasized the courage to embrace change — economic growth requires new pathways, opportunities, and a willingness to innovate.
Discussions also focused on the conditions needed to strengthen the business environment: reducing bureaucracy, fostering strategic partnerships, and presenting a united front abroad. Central support instruments such as the Market Development Programme (MEP), the Africa Advisory Vouchers of the Coordination Office for the Africa Business Network, and the Foreign Trade Fair Programme were highlighted — programmes in which RETech actively contributes as a sector partner.
The event underscores RETech’s role as a connector: We support international market entry, bring together policymakers, industry and society, and strengthen the global visibility of “Made in Germany” in waste management and the circular economy.
The day’s insights reinforce our commitment to advancing German technologies internationally and building strong partnerships.
