EXI Partner

RETech as a Strategic Partner of BMUKN for International GreenTech Transfer in Waste Management and Circular Economy

Since November 2021, on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN), RETech has been supporting German GreenTech companies in establishing their solutions for waste management and circular economy in international markets. Within the framework of the Export Initiative Environmental Protection (EXI), RETech promotes global technology and knowledge transfer – through consulting, targeted networking, public relations, and operational support for market entry.

Why RETech for the EXI?

The EXI aims to promote sustainable infrastructure worldwide and thereby create measurable environmental benefits. At its core is the international transfer of German know-how, technologies, and services in the field of GreenTech – especially in the area of circular economy, as a holistic concept for resource conservation, waste prevention, and sustainable economic practices to protect the environment. RETech complements this offer by providing comprehensive support for international activities – from establishing necessary framework conditions to developing concrete project approaches with local partners.

  • Seizing International Opportunities

As part of the EXI, RETech supports companies, research institutions, and service providers in the GreenTech sector in identifying, evaluating, and successfully tapping into international potential – with a focus on waste management and circular economy.

  • Building Networks and Partnerships

On behalf of the EXI, RETech promotes knowledge exchange among key stakeholders from business, academia, and policy – fostering synergies, sustainable cooperation, and tailor-made partner structures in Germany and abroad.

  • Creating Impact through Structure and Visibility

Through targeted public relations, customized event formats, and long-term partnerships, RETech creates the structural conditions for successful technology transfer within the EXI – with measurable impact on environmental and climate protection in partner countries.

  • Access to Know-How and Networks

As an EXI partner, RETech provides access to an established platform of expertise and networks in the German waste management and circular economy sector – enabling targeted knowledge transfer and expert exchange for the development of concrete project ideas.

How RETech Supports Companies

RETech’s work is based on six clearly defined work packages and is carried out in close coordination with companies, partners, and international stakeholders. As a strategic partner of BMUKN, RETech takes on the following responsibilities within the EXI framework:

  • Internationalization of German circular economy concepts and expertise
  • Building sustainable partnerships at national and international level
  • Competence and network platform – connecting and fostering innovation
  • Public relations – raising awareness of environmental markets and opportunities
  • Monitoring and support for BMUKN
  • Managing, participating in, and implementing projects
