IFAT India 2025: Three Days of Exchange on Circular Economy and Waste Management ♻️

21-10-2025

From 14–16 October 2025, the German RETech Partnership e.V. participated in IFAT India in Mumbai. Over three days, discussions, panels, and networking focused on EPR, biogas, and organic waste management – all with the aim of strengthening Indo-German cooperation in advancing the circular economy.

On the first day, RETech, together with Landbell GreenForest Solutions India, organised a session on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). The discussion explored how EPR can move beyond compliance towards creating functional material cycles, sustainable supply chains, and greater transparency in waste logistics.

The second day, moderated by RETech, focused on biogas as a scalable climate solution. RETech also had the honour to serve as a jury member in the ISWA Sustainable Futures Challenge, where students presented creative ideas to tackle waste management challenges in India.

On the third day, the spotlight was on organic waste utilisation – including anaerobic digestion, compressed biogas (CBG), and composting. The discussion addressed India’s opportunities and challenges, complemented by insights from Germany’s circular economy experience.

IFAT India, organised by Messe München India, once again provided RETech with a valuable platform for technical exchange, new partnerships, and dialogue between India and Germany.
A heartfelt thank you to all partners and participants for their excellent collaboration and inspiring contributions!
