Association Structure
German RETech Partnership e.V. consists of the Executive Board, the Office as well as the Advisory Board and is supported by its members. Together they shape the strategic direction and coordinate activities to promote the implementation of sustainable waste management and circular economy concepts.
Executive Board
The association is managed by a multi-member Executive Board. Members of the board must be representatives of association members. They are elected in person for a period of 2 years at an ordinary general meeting.
The legal basis for the Executive Board can be found in our Articles of Association.
Tasks of the Executive Board
- Management of the association and performance of all tasks, unless these are assigned to other bodies by law, the articles of association or a resolution of the general meeting
- Election of a chairperson and two deputy chairpersons within the members of the Executive Board
- Nomination of the advisory board
- Management of the working groups
- Representation of the association in judicial and extrajudicial matters

Advisory Board
To support the work of RETech, the Executive Board nominates an Advisory Board for a 4 year period. It consists of representatives of relevant federal and state authorities, associations, societies and individuals who support the purpose of RETech in a particular way.
The legal basis for the advisory board can be found in our Articles of Association.
Tasks of the RETech Advisory Board:
- Supporting the strategic development of RETech and making suggestions for the focus of its work, particularly in the working groups
- Supporting the establishment and maintenance of contacts with relevant stakeholders in target countries and regions as well as promoting the involvement of RETech in external projects and events that are in line with the association’s objectives
- Professional exchange on current and planned activities and providing expertise for specific inquiries
- Publicizing the association’s activities to a broad audience, e.g. companies, countries and universities
