Business Initiation Trip Uzbekistan
From September 8 to 12, 2025, German Industry and Commerce, in cooperation with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Central Asia and the German RETech Partnership e.V., is organizing a business initiation trip to Uzbekistan on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). This is a project-related funding measure. It is part of the Environmental Technologies Export Initiative and is being carried out as part of the market development program for SMEs. The target group is primarily small and medium-sized German companies (SMEs).
Around 7 million tons of household waste are produced in Uzbekistan every year. Of this, only 1.8 million tons, or 26%, is recycled by 307 recycling companies. The “Strategy for the management of solid household waste in the Republic of Uzbekistan for the period 2019-2028” has been in place since 2019. The Uzbek government is striving to create a modern and efficient system for processing waste, which means that Uzbekistan's waste disposal and recycling policy is becoming more important every year.
German technologies offer great business opportunities in Uzbekistan, as there is a high demand for efficient solutions for waste disposal and recycling. Modern disposal facilities, waste transfer stations and sustainable recycling processes are particularly in demand. There are also opportunities for German companies to introduce effective waste management strategies. The growing demand for sustainable recycling systems for secondary raw materials as well as expertise and technologies for municipal and industrial waste treatment further strengthens the market potential.
Registration information will follow shortly.
