From 23 to 27 November 2026, energiewächter GmbH, together with the German-Panamanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CAPA), will organize a market exploration visit to Panama on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). The delegation is part of the Environmental Technologies Export Initiative and Germany’s Market Development Programme for SMEs.
The program focuses on waste management and circular economy solutions, with particular emphasis on the reception and treatment of ship-generated waste from vessels at anchorage. Given the strategic importance of the Panama Canal and the large volume of maritime traffic, demand for efficient and MARPOL-compliant waste management solutions continues to grow.
Participants will gain valuable insights into the Panamanian market through expert briefings, workshops, site visits, networking events, and meetings with key stakeholders from environmental authorities, maritime institutions, ports, and private sector operators. The program also provides opportunities to establish contacts with potential business partners and decision-makers.
The delegation is aimed primarily at German companies offering solutions in waste and recycling technologies, maritime waste management, wastewater treatment, resource recovery, and digital or mobile systems for waste handling and traceability.
