How to Create a Circular Economy Around Waste Management: A Dialogue with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries

The Gulf Cooperation Council countries are accelerating their economic transformation and sustainability ambitions. At the same time, rising waste volumes and growing demand for resources are increasing the need for modern waste management and circular economy systems – and for viable solutions that connect policy, finance, technology, and implementation.

Germany offers proven expertise across the entire waste value chain, from strategy, regulation, and planning to collection, sorting, recycling, resource recovery, technology deployment, and project implementation. The RETech Circular Economy GCC Forum provides a platform to connect this experience with the perspectives, needs, and market knowledge of stakeholders from the GCC region.

Representatives from government, public authorities, industry, finance, academia, and research will discuss current developments, financing structures, pathways beyond landfilling, and the conditions required for successful projects.
