Business Delegation to Malaysia 2026: Opportunities for Germany’s Waste Management Sector

German companies active in waste management, recycling, circular economy solutions, and waste-to-energy technologies are invited to join a business delegation to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 28 September to 2 October 2026.

Malaysia is increasingly investing in modern waste management and recycling solutions to address growing waste volumes and achieve its sustainability goals. This creates attractive opportunities for German providers of innovative environmental technologies and services.

The delegation is part of Germany’s Environmental Technologies Export Initiative and is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) under its SME Market Development Programme (MEP). The initiative aims to help German companies explore the Malaysian market and establish long-term business partnerships.

The programme includes market briefings, company presentations, networking events, and individually arranged B2B meetings with potential partners and customers in Malaysia. Participants will gain valuable market insights while exploring concrete business opportunities and building new connections in one of Southeast Asia’s growing environmental technology markets.
