Eberhard Zimmermann GmbH & Co. KG: Decades of Hazardous Waste Experience Join the RETech Network

Eberhard Zimmermann GmbH & Co. KG has joined RETech as a new member. The family-run group is based in Gütersloh and employs more than 700 people at 10 sites in Germany, from Rostock to Waldkirch. It treats, recycles and disposes of hazardous and non-hazardous waste from industrial processes.

Four family members, Gerhard, Eberhard, Reinhard and David Zimmermann, sit on the management.

What does Zimmermann do with hazardous waste?

The group runs its own treatment plants in Germany. Its methods include chemical-physical treatment, solidification and conditioning of solid and pasty waste, distillation, and material or thermal recovery. Where the waste allows, Zimmermann separates water and solvents for reuse.

What sits behind the plants?

NBA aussen BB

Zimmermann offers plant engineering, chemical trading, and separator service and technology. An accredited testing laboratory supports the work, and the group runs emergency and damage management with a 24/7 emergency service. Its fleet includes 115 approved vehicles for dangerous goods transport.

Why did Zimmermann join RETech?

Zimmermann works in the circular economy and values technical exchange with others in the field. RETech gives the company a place to talk with other players in the sector, compare experience and pick up ideas for developing the circular economy further. The company plans to contribute ideas as well as collect them.

What does Zimmermann expect from the network?

New contacts come first. Zimmermann also wants to follow current developments in the sector and learn from what other members have tried. In return, the company brings its own expertise. Together with members, it wants to develop perspectives for a circular economy that lasts.
